7. Cookies

Cookies help make visiting the tributoo.com website easier, more enjoyable, and more meaningful. These are information files that are automatically saved by the web browser on the computer’s hard drive when the customer visits the tributoo.com website and uses services. The customer has the option of managing their browser’s security settings to block or disable cookies. However, this may result in the full use of certain tributoo.com services.

Tracking and analysis tools / social mediaTo measure and evaluate the use of tributoo.com’s digital offerings, various technical systems are used, primarily from third-party providers such as Google Analytics. These measurements can be conducted anonymously or on a personal basis. It is possible that the data collected by tributoo.com or the third-party providers of such technical systems may be passed on to third parties in Germany and abroad. The best-known and most frequently used analysis tool is Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc. The data collected may generally be transferred to a Google server in the USA or to another location determined by Google and stored there. The tributoo.com website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., headquartered in the USA (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043). Google Analytics uses cookies, text files stored on the customer’s computer, which enable an analysis of website usage. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address, which will be anonymized by Google before it is saved) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States or another location determined by Google. Google will use this information to evaluate your website activity, compile reports on website activity for tributoo.com, and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where Google processes the data on your behalf. Google will never associate your IP address with any other data. The tributoo.com website also uses Google Analytics’ “demographic features.” This allows reports to be compiled that contain information about the age, gender, and interests of customers. This data comes from Google’s interest-based advertising and third-party visitor data. It cannot be associated with any specific individual. Customers can deactivate this feature via the ad settings in their Google account, or generally prohibit the collection of their data by Google Analytics. Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy. If the customer does not want their website activity to be tracked by Google Analytics, they can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This prevents activity data from being shared with Google Analytics via the JavaScript running on websites (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js). Using the add-on does not interfere with the analysis of data by other tools used by the website operator. Data may still be sent to the website or other web analytics services. Finally, tributoo.com collects certain information via its website in server log files that are automatically transmitted by the customer’s Internet browser. This information includes the user agent (browser type and version, operating system used), HTTP header data (referrer URL, IP address of the accessing computer), the time of the server request, and the login status. These server log files are used solely for error analysis, along with other data sources.Data collection and analysis for advertising purposesThe provider’s website uses the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. Google Inc., located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”), is the provider. This function makes it possible to link the advertising target groups created by Google Analytics Remarketing with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This means that interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted based on the customer’s previous usage and surfing behavior on one device (e.g. mobile phone) can also be displayed on another device (e.g. tablet or PC). If the customer has given Google their consent, Google links the web and app browsing history with the customer’s Google account. This means that the same personalized advertising messages can be displayed on every device on which the customer logs in with their Google account. To support this function, Google Analytics collects authenticated user IDs, which are temporarily linked to tributoo.com data to define and create target groups for cross-device ad delivery. Customers can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing by deactivating personalized advertising in their Google account. Here is the link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/ Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ The tributoo.com website also uses the Google AdWords online advertising program. Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, is the provider. As part of Google AdWords, tributoo.com uses so-called conversion tracking. When the customer clicks on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is placed for conversion tracking. These small text files are stored by the Internet browser on the customer’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days at the latest and are not used for identification. If the customer visits our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and tributoo.com can recognize that the customer clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. tributoo.com only receives from Google the total number of users who clicked on its ad and were redirected to its website, which is equipped with a conversion tracking tag. However, tributoo.com does not receive any information that could personally identify the customer. The customer can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly. However, tributoo.com points out thatthat in this case, not all functions of this website may be fully usable. The customer also has the option of preventing tracking by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via the user settings of their internet browser. Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/ The tributoo.com website also uses the Facebook visitor action pixel. The provider is Facebook Inc., located at 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. The Facebook pixel makes it possible to track the behavior of site visitors after they have been redirected to the tributoo.com website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized. The data collected is anonymous for tributoo.com. tributoo.com cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the customers.
