It is with great sadness that we have learned of the sudden and far too early passing of our colleague Jörn. On behalf of myself and our entire department, we would like to express our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Jörn’s unexpected passing is a profound loss to all who had the privilege of working with him. His professional contributions extended beyond departmental and national boundaries, and his work had a meaningful impact across the DLR and internationally.

We share in the sorrow of his passing and extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected. I wish, we could say or do more in this difficult time.
