There are no words that can describe the sense of loss when a friend, a colleague, a brilliant scientist and a generous and exceptional human being leaves.
Jörn is all that and more. I have fond professional memories of our work together, the challenges and the successes. But what remains closest to my heart is Jörn’s generosity in granting me the honor and care to sit with him and his beautiful Family at their dinner table on Christmas Eve in a foreign far away country, making me feel closer to home, although my family was so far away.
I will cherish these memories and gratitude for ever and will have Jörn and his Family in my thoughts and prayers.
